Overview
Deep Conversations for Couples (“the App”) is a couples quiz app where partners answer daily questions and compare responses. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture (if provided by Apple)
Game Data
As you use the App, we collect:
- Your answers to daily questions
- Timestamps of when you answer
- Your depth level, scores, badges, and streaks
- Your topic track progress
- Weekly activity patterns
Device Information
- Push notification token (to send you notifications)
- Device type (iOS)
Subscription Information
- Whether you have an active subscription
- Which subscription plan you chose (monthly or annual)
- Purchase transaction details (processed by Apple)
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your age, gender, location, phone number, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any data unrelated to the App.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core experience: delivering questions, storing answers, showing reveals, and tracking progress
- To match you with your partner via invite codes
- To send push notifications (daily reminders, partner activity, streak alerts)
- To manage your subscription and premium access
- To improve the App
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Firebase (Google Cloud)
Hosts our database, user authentication, and server-side functions. Your account information, game data, and couple data are stored on Firebase servers.
RevenueCat
Manages in-app subscriptions. We share your user ID and purchase information with RevenueCat to verify your subscription status.
Apple
Handles authentication (Sign in with Apple) and processes all payments through the App Store.
Expo
Delivers push notifications to your device. We share your device's push token and notification content with Expo's push notification service.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating the App.
Your answers and game data are shared only with your paired partner within the App.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our servers.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App by going to Profile > Delete Account. You may also request data deletion by contacting us at the email below. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
When you delete your account:
- Your user profile is permanently deleted
- Your game answers and history are removed
- Your couple pairing is dissolved
- Your subscription (if any) is not automatically canceled — you must cancel it separately through your Apple ID settings
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase Authentication, and secure cloud infrastructure provided by Google Cloud.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
